Owais Shah

Owais leads Tara's UK–UAE gateway as Managing Partner and a cornerstone partner in the group. He drives business development across the corridor in both directions — helping international businesses enter and scale in the UAE, and opening UK and global markets for Tara's partners — and acts as a trusted principal to represent and place strategic partners on the ground. His remit spans partnerships and business development, sports management and leadership consultancy, alongside a health, sports and lifestyle practice that runs from elite coaching to executive mentorship.

A celebrated England international across all three formats, Owais captained England to the 1998 Under-19 World Cup title and earned his Test debut after topping the County Championship's First Division run charts in 2005. Over a twenty-year career he starred in the Indian Premier League and for domestic sides across India, England, South Africa and New Zealand — a middle-order batsman as respected for his team-first mindset as for his shot-making.

Since retiring from first-class cricket he has led the Rajshahi Royals to a Bangladesh Premier League title and served as head coach of the UAE national team, giving him a global network built over three decades in elite sport and a rare fluency in both the British and Emirati business landscapes.
